Russian Crab Company became a member of Russian-China Business Council

The largest crab-harvesting company of the Far East — Russian Crab became a member of Russian-China Business Council (RCBC).

RCBC intends to support business initiatives related to Chinese direction, as well as to strengthen the interaction with partners and federal authorities both in China and Russia".

Russian Crab Company holds the leading position among Russian suppliers of live crab to China. By the end of 2020, its share in the total Russian export of live crab to China reached 22%. Despite the impact of the pandemic restrictions, the Company managed to increase the amount of supplies up to 3.1 thousand tons, that is 2 times higher comparing to 2019.

New logistic chains and centers creation as a priority area will expand the geography of crab consumption in China. The Russian-China Business Council (RCBC) was established in 2004 as part of Official visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China. The purpose of the Business Council is to promote joint economic projects of both countries, as well as to promote cooperation between business groups. Business Council operates under the guidance of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. A number of large-scale economic projects have been successfully implemented, including the following: construction of a natural gas liquefaction plant — the Yamal LNG project in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District (Russia); construction of a cross-border railway bridge over the Amur River (Nizhneleninskoe — Tongjiang), etc. RCBC has established working interaction with leading industry associations and business associations of China — the Federation of Mechanical Engineering, the Association for Investing in Foreign Countries, the Association of Agricultural Enterprises, the Association of Construction Contractors and others. Currently, 28 large projects are being implemented in 19 regions of Russia and China with the support of the Council, for an amount of $ 8.9 billion. The Council’s members are the largest companies in Russia and China.

Russian Crab Company Group is the largest crab harvesting company in the Far East and one of the leading in Russia. Company’s fleet consist of 19 vessels. Annual quota for 2021 is 12.86 thousand tons in northwestern subzones of the Pacific Ocean, which is the largest share of quotas in the Far Eastern basin — 19%.
Russian Crab exports live and cooked-frozen crab to China, South Korea, Japan and the USA.
